Solid Perfume and Massage Bar

Tuca Tuca Perfume and Massage Bar Review

PLEASE NOTE: This post has been made into one as most of it is coming from memories from 2013.

Let us begin in the Summer of 2013, when I was going through one of my perfume phases with Lush. This happens every few years or when new ones come out. I made an online order and purchased a few solids and a couple of 10 ml liquid perfumes. This was when the solid perfumes used to come in the black push up tubs and the liquid perfumes that came in the black bottles. That has been my favourite packing for the perfumes so far.

I had smelt a of few of them in store a few weeks before I did the order. And took a chance with Tuca Tuca solid and liquid perfumes. When they arrived I honestly didn’t like them (blame just figuring out Lush perfume). Found them over powering and they gave me a sore head, if I am honest with you. Fast forward to 2016 when Lush put out a Shower Gel called Don’t Rain On My Parade. It shares the same fragrance as Tuca Tuca and is one that I over looked until a few weeks ago. When I was looking for anything that had a violet scent to it to add to my bath. Recently fallen in love with anything that has violet in it. If you love DROMP or Violet Nights Bath Oil, you are going to love Tuca Tuca perfume and massage bar. The perfume lasts on the skin and you can smell it even after you have taken a jacket or top off.

Cassie Absolute, Vanilla Absolute, Sandalwood Oil, Vetivert Oil, Violet Leaf Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil are the main ingredients of both the perfume and massage bar.

Cassie Absolute is called sweet acacia or prickly Moses. It is used for treating depression, nervous exhaustion and stress-related conditions. Its beautiful, sunny note uplifts the spirits. Vanilla Absolute is the vanilla beans (pods) that are dried unripe fruits of the orchid Vanilla planifolia. It has beautiful sweet fragrance. Vanilla is also soothing, antibacterial and is naturally rich in vitamins which help your skin to feel more balanced and healthy. Sandalwood Oil has a warm, woody and rich aroma. It can help to reduce inflammation and helps to soothe and soften the skin. Vetivert Oil is used as a fixative for perfume blends, which means it holds onto other fragrances that it has been blended with and releases them slowly. It is also recommended as warming oil for muscular aches and pains (which is perfect for those that want the massage bar). Violet Leaf Absolute is the violet plant (Viola papilionacea) which is a small, sweet-smelling plant. The flowers have a grassy, floral fragrance. Which makes them a popular ingredient in perfumery, while their antiseptic qualities make them an amazing addition to skincare products. Ylang Ylang Oil has a heady, sweet and floral aroma and is often used for its uplifting properties.

Tuca Tuca Massage Bar from memory smells just like the perfume the only really big difference is that one is a perfume and the other a massage bar. Fair Trade Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter are the main butters that form the base of the massage bar. Cocoa Butter is a stable, dry butter and it can be used in combination with other natural butters to create rich blends. Fair Trade Shea Butter is used in a range of lotion and creams because it is very moisturising, gentle and easily absorbed by the skin. Tuca Tuca Massage Bar takes a while to sink into the skin because of the rich butters that are in it. It is one you will love if you want something to keep your skin very hydrated, in the cooler months.

If you love the smell of Violets, you need these products in your life.
